TakatakPosted by Fred (Manila, Philippines) on 19 December 2009 in People & Portrait and Portfolio. Everybody, I introduce to you Richards! -- assuming that's his name. lol. He's a takatak boy. Takatak is actually from the sound that these guys make when they clap the zippo they use to light customers on to the wooden box they carry around where their merchandise are. Their merchandise range from cigarettes of 3-5 brands, bubblegums/candies, biscuits, and sometimes even sunglasses. It's quite common to see them along the streets of Manila, especially where there are many jeepneys. In stoplights, they'd walk up to jeepneys and make that takatak sound to let the jeepney drivers know they're around. This guy I saw, was quite unique. Usually I'd see them in the usual shorts and shirt attire. But he, all groomed up in what looks like his party get-up. Obviously he likes the hip-hop fashion style. He's got the bling. Check out that cross necklace he wears. And the big ass watch on his left hand! Plaza Miranda, Quiapo Comments and suggestions will be greatly appreciated. :) Remember.. you're a wreck, Visit me here:
